4. Data Security
We implement commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information. However, no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. We implement encryption, access controls, secure servers, and monitoring systems to protect personal data.
5. Data Retention and Account Deletion
We retain personal information for as long as necessary to provide the Services, comply with legal and tax obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Retention periods vary with the nature of the data and applicable legal requirements.
(A) Deleting your account. You may delete your account at any time from your account settings in the Repairo app, or by writing to support@Repairo.pro. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. We may require you to complete or cancel any open booking before your account can be deleted, so that work in progress and any associated payment authorization can be settled.
(B) What we delete. On deletion we permanently remove your login credentials, your name, email address and telephone number, your saved service addresses, your saved contractor favorites, and any profile or portfolio images you uploaded. Your account cannot be signed in to or restored after this point.
(C) Messages and photographs you sent. Messages you sent through the Platform are replaced with a placeholder indicating the message was deleted; the message content is not retained. Photographs you uploaded in connection with a Job are deleted. Messages and photographs sent by the other party to a Job are not affected by your deletion, because they form part of that person's own record of the transaction and of any dispute either of you may raise.
(D) What we retain, and in what form. Records of completed Jobs, payments, payouts, invoices and tax documents are retained after account deletion, because we are required to keep them for financial, tax, insurance and dispute purposes. These records are de-identified: they are no longer associated with your name, email address or telephone number. They continue to include the service address at which work was performed, a description of the work, and the amounts charged, because those are intrinsic to the transaction record. We retain these records for as long as required by applicable tax, accounting, and limitations periods, and for as long as any dispute, claim or legal hold remains open, after which they are deleted in accordance with our retention schedule: records of incomplete applications with no documents and no payment are deleted 30 days after last activity. Hashed applicant email retained to administer the section 8.6(h) reapplication waiver is retained for 210 days after decision. Records of an adverse decision, including notices sent and any applicant response, are retained for 5 years from the date of decision.
(E) Open disputes. If a Job is subject to an open dispute or report at the time you delete your account, the messages and photographs relating to that Job are preserved until the matter is resolved, after which they are deleted as described in (C). Your account is closed immediately in either case.
(F) Background checks. Background check results obtained through Checkr are retained only as long as necessary for onboarding review and legal compliance, after which they are deleted in accordance with our retention schedule in Subsection D above.
(G) Backups. Deletion and de-identification apply to our live systems immediately. Encrypted backups are rotated on a routine cycle, and residual copies may persist in those backups until they expire.
(H) Applications that do not result in an account. If you apply to become a contractor but do not receive an account, we retain your application data as follows: an incomplete application with no documents uploaded and no payment made is deleted 30 days after your last activity. A hashed copy of your email address is retained for 210 days after a decision to recognize a returning applicant and administer the reapplication fee waiver. The record of an adverse decision, including notices sent to you and any response you provide, is retained for 5 years from the date of the decision.
6. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal information, opt out of certain data sharing, withdraw consent, or request data portability. You may delete your account yourself from your account settings in the Repairo app, as described in Section 5, or request deletion by contacting Repairo. To exercise your rights, contact: legal@Repairo.pro. We may verify your identity before processing certain requests.
7. Applicable State Privacy Rights
Depending on your state of residence and applicable law, you may have additional rights with respect to your personal information. To exercise any such rights, contact us at legal@Repairo.pro. We will respond in accordance with applicable law and may verify your identity before processing your request. Repairo operates primarily in Florida and will respond to privacy requests in accordance with applicable Florida and federal law. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any privacy right.
8. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies for authentication, security, analytics, performance, and advertising. You may control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect Platform functionality. Our website does not currently respond to Do Not Track signals or similar browser-based opt-out mechanisms.
9. Third-Party Links
The Platform may contain links to third-party websites. Repairo is not responsible for the privacy practices or content of third-party services. We encourage you to review their privacy policies.
10. Children's Privacy
The Platform is not intended for individuals under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors.
11. International Users
If you access the Platform from outside the United States, you understand that your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction.
12. SMS Data Privacy
Message frequency may vary based on your use of the Platform (for example, account, booking, and service‑status notifications), but you may receive multiple messages per week when actively using the service. Message and data rates may apply. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes. We may share mobile numbers and SMS metadata with subcontractors and service providers in support of Platform operations, including messaging delivery, customer service, fraud prevention, and compliance, consistent with this Privacy Policy. All other use cases exclude text‑messaging originator opt‑in data and consent; this information will not be sold or licensed to third parties.
SMS Opt-In. You may opt in to receive SMS messages through our website contact forms, during account creation, or within your account settings in the app by providing your phone number and indicating your consent. By opting in, you agree to receive service‑related messages and updates, including account notifications, booking confirmations, scheduling and status updates, and other transactional communications. You may opt out at any time by replying “STOP” to any message you receive from us; you may also text “HELP” for assistance or update your preferences in your account settings. Opt‑out will not affect non‑SMS channels (such as email or in‑app notifications) that are necessary for Platform operation
13. Marketplace Data Flows
Repairo operates a two-sided marketplace connecting Homeowners and Contractors. The following data flows are inherent to Platform operation:
(A) Upon Booking Acceptance. The Homeowner's first name, service address, job details, and preferred service window are shared with the accepting Contractor. The Contractor's name, business name, license status, and Platform ratings (where public) are displayed to the Homeowner.
(B) Tier Adjustment Evidence. Photo, measurement, video, and diagnostic evidence submitted by Contractors in support of Tier Adjustment requests is retained by Repairo for quality assurance and dispute resolution purposes.
(C) Ratings Data. During the initial launch period of the Platform, ratings submitted by Homeowners are private and visible only to the rated Contractor and Repairo personnel for quality assurance and dispute resolution purposes. After the launch period, and only where a Contractor has opted in to public reputation under the applicable Terms of Service, ratings for that Contractor may be displayed publicly on the Platform as part of the Contractor’s profile, together with aggregate rating metrics
(D) Payment Data. All payment and payout data is processed by Stripe Connect. Repairo does not store full payment card numbers. Stripe's privacy policy governs Stripe's handling of payment data.
14. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Effective Date." Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notice before taking effect. Your continued use of the Platform after any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
